Semaphor DanceWorks Inc. was founded in 1997 by Dominika Borovansky. The company was created with the intention of presenting a diverse repertory of dance works, encompassing the broad spectrum of contemporary modern dance evolution.
We firmly believe that dance is a powerful vehicle that simultaneously entertains and enlightens. Our interests lie in creating lyrical, beautiful dances capable of an impact equivalent to our theatrical, gesticular commentative works.
Dance is a timeless, universal language to be shared by people of all ages and backgrounds. Our residencies would promote this idea while providing strong dance technique and choreographic concepts that allow for greater individual exploration, through the experience of modern dance, theatre and improvisation.
